A well, known company Bajaj Auto will come back new Chetak electric scooter in the Indian Automobile market on January 14, 2020. amazing thing is that Bajaj auto said that this new chetak will not only be sold in India but exported to European markets as well. Even after being an electric scooter, it looks more attractive than the current petrol scooters in terms of looks. The electric scooter introduced as Bajaj Chetak has been brought under the company’s electric brand Urbanite. The new electric Chetak scooter will be built at the company’s Chakan plant. It is believed the expected price of this new Bajaj Chetak 2020 is something around Rs 1-1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be launched in a phased manner. The scooter will first be launched in Pune in January 2020. Shortly thereafter, the company will launch it in Bengaluru. It will then be planned to launch in other cities as per the market reaction.

It has a fully digital instrument speedometer. In which many types of information are available. Let us tell you that this electric scooter has keyless ignition and it will be fully connected through the app. Powering the motor will be an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery and the customers will be able to charge it through a 5-15 amp electrical outlet. The front of the scooter has an oval LED strip close to the headlamps. There will be six color options ( blue, red, beige, silver, black, and white). Bajaj chetak has two modes Eco and Sport. Bajaj Auto claims a range of 95 km in the Eco mode and 85 km in the Sport mode for the Chetak. The new Chetak has a single-sided tubular suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. A single-sided cast aluminum swingarm is also present.12-inch wheels, with a disc up front and a drum at the rear, are available and the regenerative braking system also is given.

To give the feel of the iconic Chetak scooter, the company has considered it better to launch it in retro-styling like Chetak instead of completely new styling. Curvy bodywork, multi-spoke wheels, and contoured seat work make the design look great. It may be said that the original Chetak scooter was based on the Vespa Sprint, so the styling of the electric Chetak is inspired by the modern Vespa scooters.
